ABOUT THE OWNER, KERBIE LANSFORD
From an early age growing up in Neosho, Kerbie honed her artistic and problem-solving skills. She would often borrow her father’s tools with her twin sister, dragging them to the woods to build and was told by a high school art teacher not to let her art go to waste. She accepted her first custom framing job just before her 18th birthday and she has been framing professionally for a decade. For Kerbie, custom framing projects are the puzzles that have been her art, and her customers trust her to get uniquely creative to protect, preserve, and present the best moments of their lives: from family photos/heirlooms to original art to limited edition, independent concert posters to important documents. Her love of family, appreciation of art, and respect for history make her the exact-right person to celebrate and honor all the things that help us remember who we are and what matters to us. Kerbie has said that this creative work both helps her manage stress and feeds her soul.

In 2015, Kerbie was preparing to marry her husband of nearly six years, Nick, when she visited The Frame Shoppe looking for work. There was no job for her, but a year later, on January 13, 2016, she bought the place and has been living her dream ever since. To celebrate her five-year ownership anniversary, Kerbie posted encouragement and inspiration on The Frame Shoppe’s facebook page: “10 years ago, when life took an interesting turn, I don’t think I ever could’ve imagined that I would be owning my own business one day. You never know what life will bring you - all you can do is keep going. Don’t give up. Take the risk!”
